Harissa, a lovely area located at the top of Jounieh is renowned as the home of the prominent pilgrimage site, The Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon. It is both a religious site and a popular touristic spot honoring a statue of the Virgin Mary with hands outstretched towards Beirut. One of the top attractions of Harissa is the Téléphérique, a gondola lift, that goes back and forth between Jounieh and Harissa leading visitors directly to the church at the top of the mountain.

After completing a tour around the area, visitors can have a delicious lunch at one of the local restaurants, such as Amar, while enjoying the beautiful views of the bay of Jounieh. Offering magnificent nature and scenery, all restaurants and coffee shops are also surrounded by the fresh smell of pine trees growing all around the mountain.
